Many people find that when they are young, they have big dreams: things they want to do, places they want to go, and people they want to become. But as life happens, it slaps them around a bit and demands their focus and attention. And the natural response is to drop everything and focus on survival. Then they forget to pick their dreams back up again.
So, it’s not that those people are quitters or that they have given up on their dreams. It’s just that they were momentarily distracted with the ups and downs of life. I’m here to remind you to get back on to it.
Perhaps we should never have let the dreams go.
“When you have a dream, you’ve got to grab it and never let go.” – Carol Burnett
But if you have put your dreams on the back burner, pick those dreams back up again.
I love the concept of dream catchers. A dream catcher comes from the Native American culture, where a web is woven around a hoop and placed near where you sleep to catch your dreams. We all need strong dream catchers, moments to hold on to and remember our dreams on a daily basis.
