If you live on Earth and you have a pulse, chances are you are experiencing problems in your life or have just gotten over some or are about to experience some.
Problems happen. We all have them? Now what do we do?
If you are like most of us, your first reaction is to ask…
Why is this happening to me?
That’s a good question, and worthy of some thought, but it’s not as important as you might think. There are usually two different reasons for problems to come into your life:
- You did something wrong
- It just happened
There are natural consequences to everything you do. If you lie and cheat, people will not trust you. If you always keep your commitments and promises, people will want to work with you and will trust you. It’s just a cause and effect. There are natural principles that have predictable results when you follow them. So, if you have a problem, that might be the source of it.
On the other hand, sometimes things happen to us that just completely have nothing to do with anything we have done. The majority of us wrongly associate having problems to being “worthy” in one way or another. Like a lot of things, it’s not about you. It happened. And, it doesn’t matter what happens to you, but how you respond to it.
…it doesn’t matter what happens to you, but how you respond to it…
Achievers sometimes believe that God or the Universe give you challenges to make you stronger. Your soul is like a muscle, you stretch and test it against resistance and you get stronger just like lifting weights. It all comes down to making a choice. Do you grow or stay? Do you correct the problem or build strength from trials?
The principle is simple if you don’t change, you stay the same. You remain stuck – no growth or progression. When you change, you become either better or worse – you either grow or shrink. The hope is that you change for the better.
You can increase your chances for changing for the better when you embrace trials and experiences that stimulate growth. My tip for you is to look for the good in everything. Look for opportunities to make the most out of the situation.
