Hi, my name is Ben Balden. My life’s mission is to help everyone live a happier, fuller life. My intention for creating this information here is to realize my vision of a world full of happy and successful people at peace with themselves and in harmony with others. I warmly invite you to join me in this passionate cause: to help all people everywhere live a happier, fuller life. Let’s start with ourselves.
Fear Setting
Set your fears in their proper place by analyzing them in a thought experiment.
Fears can stop us from taking action or making progress. Often enough these fears are actually overly dramatized or blown out of proportion. So, simply imagining coming face to face with the fears often disarms the fear itself and opens the way forward.
Friends, a challenge for you,
A short bit of a challenge for you. It should only take you five minutes to complete. It’s called FEAR SETTING. I got this idea from Tim Ferriss’s book 4 Hour Work Week.
The idea is to bust through your fears by facing them.
Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Think about a fear that is holding you back
Step 2: Look for the worst thing that could happen
Step 3: Find a solution for that
Step 4: Look at the best-case scenario – feel the joy

Let’s Try It
Here is an example for you. Some of my biggest fears are being mediocre, dying without accomplishing anything, living in poverty in an unfulfilling life. So, let’s pop into our imagination and face the fear using the steps above.
Step 1: Think about a fear that is holding you back – Unaccomplished, unfulfilled, and mediocre
Step 2: Look for the worst thing that could happen – I could miss out on the joy of accomplishments in life
Step 3: Find a solution for that – Well, there will always be something that I had accomplished even though it might not be what I had in mind. I can focus on and be grateful for those accomplishments. So, even if I died without wining the game of get-the-most-stuff, I will have at least one something. There is always value there.
Step 4: Look at the best-case scenario – feel the joy – On the other hand, I could accomplish a great deal of great things. Imagine that I actually accomplish a whole ton of great things in life. That would be absolutely amazing. I would feel so much happiness from that. Although, I will choose to feel my happiness anyway.
