Your business, whatever that may be (and we all have some), would improve in enjoyment and success if we apply a bit of love, appreciation, and empathy.
“Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand.” – Mother Teresa
Perhaps Mother Teresa was only talking about serving orphans in far-away lands. But, I think it goes further than that. Love is something we can do, feel, and have with and for all the “stakeholders” in our life and our life’s work.
I attended business school to get an MBA, and I remember over and over being amazed at how many times, the subject of “love” came up whether directly referred to or now. It might have been in a discussion about appreciating your employees or looking after the interests of your long-term suppliers. And certainly in marketing, taking care of the customer. The underlying theme was love, or a sincere concern for the welfare of those you labor with and for.
So, is there place for “love” in your business.
