What flavor are your LONGINGS? HOPE or DESPAIR?
We all have dreams and aspirations. And when we think of achieving them, we yearn and long to be there already.
Often thinking about our dreams or visions of future life is good. In fact it’s great… if it is flavored correctly. Pay attention to the emotional energy you emit when you long for something. Is it one of hope or despair?
HOPE
When you long for something and feel a light and energy flowing into you, you know your LONGINGS are flavored by hope. You are feeling this because you believe that there is a possibility of attaining or realizing your dreams.
DESPAIR
When you ponder on your heart’s desire and feel energy being depleted and experience feelings of burden or disappointment, you know your LONGINGS are flavored by despair. You are feeling this because you want something you deep down believe or have judged is no longer obtainable.
SWITCHING FROM DESPAIR TO HOPE
If, unfortunately, detect the wrong flavor, how can you switch from DESPAIR to HOPE? Belief. If it is objectively possible, teach yourself a new belief through introspection, affirmations, and repetition.
SWITCHING FROM HOPE TO DESPAIR
Come on. Really? We don’t intentionally do this. But unintentionally when we give into negativity in our speech, actions, complaining, blaming, and making excuses, our mind will put our dreams into the unobtainable category.
