How can you help someone when you are in need of help yourself? In order to be able to serve, you need to be in a position to be able to serve.
Here is today’s quote for discussion:
You cannot feed the poor from empty shelves.~Anonymous
Now, this quote can refer to spiritual or personal development in general, but the principle I think of the most when I hear this quote is when I think of financial growth or wealth principles.
There are many people who have a false belief that being poor and humble is somehow valuable or admirable. It is not. There are many reasons why someone is poor. There is situational poverty and poverty because someone is either not following principles of wealth or they are holding false beliefs like this one. Being poor is not a good or attractive position to be in. Not only can you not help others in need financially, but you also may draw away resources from others as you may stand in need of help yourself. There is nothing wrong with getting help. But being in a position to give help to other is a far more excellent position. So, if you have any bit of the false belief that there is any good that can come from being poor, cast off that false belief. You can be rich, helpful, and a good and wonderful person. That’s what this world needs.
