Hey, everyone, have you ever been using an app on your smartphone and you see a link and it doesn’t allow you to follow the link or you see some text on the screen and for some reason you are not allowed by the app to select the text. Well, no more.
Here is a simple tech tip recently made available through new software features.
I hate it when I’m looking at comments or descriptions in apps like Instagram or TicTok that don’t allow you to use what’s on the screen. I believe they do this because they want to keep you in their app.
Well, now all you do is take a screenshot and open it in the photos app, which immediately converts the text into copyable text and the links are now clickable right on the picture. I know this works on iPhone because I use it all the time. Not sure if it works on Android, so you can tell me in the comments if it does.
This works on videos, too. So, if you are watching a video and see a quote or something on the screen that you want to capture in text, well now you can. Some platforms like YouTube also allow you to look at the transcripts.
- You can get around apps that block you from copying text or following links
- TO DO THIS
- You simply take a screenshot
- open the screenshot in the photo app
- The photo app (iPhone) converts the text in the picture to text and the links to links
- This works with videos too
- Any text you see on the screen can be copied through a screenshot
