Glorious Utopia: an inspirational vision of a brighter future for humanity
I have a vision of humanity where peace, plenty, and progression are preeminent.
I see a world where humanity has developed and advanced to the point where human beings dwell together in peace, harmony, and progression. Where all the problems and issues we deal with today are long gone. Where every single person is equal, fairly treated, and treasured. Where every individual is wealthy beyond belief. Where we all live together in a glorious utopia.
What would humanity look like?
What would that world look like? Humanity itself will exist at a higher level being full of gifted and capable people all living together in peace and harmony, progressing, and doing amazing mind-boggling things. Things we never thought possible. It is a future where all the issues currently plaguing humanity have long been sorted out.
There is no poverty, class, race, disease, or suffering. Where there is no need for money, lawyering, or accumulation of possessions. Where humanity would be advanced to the point which they would essentially not have conflict with one another. Where conflicts with other species are negotiated rather than solved by force or manipulation. Where individuals are skilled, cultured, and obtain great satisfaction in contributing to progressing humanity. Where every individual seeks out wonderful amazing things and strives to be the best person that individual can be.
A Utopian Future Humanity Is Inspiring
Imaging that humanity can or will exist at a higher level is empowering and inspiring. When we think about what our potential as a species is, I feel like getting up out of bed and doing something about it. It’s exciting to help move humanity in that direction. I’m not the only one who has imagined that humanity can or will evolve to this level, and I’m not the only one to derive a feeling of deep inspiration when imagining this potential.
I remember watching this video of Patrick Stewart when he was announcing the Picard Star Trek series and reminiscing on his time in the Star Trek Next Generation series. Something he said really stuck with me.1 It essentially echoed the vision of Gene Rodenberry for the future of mankind.2
“It became clearer and clear to me that the power of that show, the success of that show, the benefits that it gave… I have never grown tired of people … who say to me, ‘Your show changed my life. Without Star Trek The Next Generation, I might not be here.’ … My personal favorite, which makes me very emotional came from a detective sergeant with the Las Vegas police department. He wrote to me about his life and his work, and toward the end, he said to me, ‘Do you know there are days — I love my job. But there are days that I go home that what I have seen, what I have experienced, the cruelty, the barbarity, the viciousness, the nastiness, of what I have experienced makes me despair for the future of our society and the world. But when I feel like that, I go to my video shelf and I take down Star Trek The Next Generation and I know we’re gonna have a future.’ – Patrick Stewart

This vision of a glorious utopia as the future for humanity can be our driving force to make ourselves better and make humanity better.
Is a Glorious Utopia Possible?
I believe that this progression is not only possible, but it will happen. Just look at where we are right now compared to where humanity was before. Think of our early ancestors who were hunters and gatherers. There was much suffering, not only in terms of health, starvation, unjust retribution by warring neighboring tribes, lack of clean water, food, nothing but dirt floors to walk on, sleep on, and little protection or guarantee of personal rights. Think of our ancestors that lived in the middle ages with their class systems, slavery and servitude, crude healthcare practices, lack of reliable laws, and the rough way of making a living. What about our pilgrim ancestors who suffered persecution, plagues, death, who worked the soil with their hands to survive.
And think of our lives today: the great majority of the population have warm homes, comfortable beds, education, medication, representation, equal rights, and opportunities as far as the eye can see. What would our hunter-gatherer ancestors think of our cars, smartphones, voting rights, plumbing, modern kitchens, and healthcare. If those historical forefathers were told of today’s wonders of technology, social systems, and and simple things like plumbing, cars, and millions of miles of paved roads,3 they might balk and say that humanity would never progress to such a state.
While it’s true that we, as a species, have far to go, we have come a long way. The quality of life continues to progress and evolve.
Is it possible to evolve backward? Imagine if progression stalls, stops, or reverses. What if this progression never comes, and the societal problems that plague us now overcome us? Humanity itself may break down. The planet-wide climate may crumble, crippling our species. We may all die of weapons of mass destruction. But, painfully most important, millions of lives will be lived with the pain and frustration of stagnation. Possibly we may face a destruction of humanity as a whole, a dystopia.
How Can Humanity Become A Glorious Utopia?
My feeling is that if people like me continue to make an effort to make the world a better place, humanity will evolve. And the faster we can evolve to a more glorious utopia, the less suffering there will be, and the more happiness and fulfillment people will have. It is my belief that ‘men are that they might have joy’.4 That is to say that we all exist for one purpose to experience joy, real, true, lasting joy.
The more we can evolve each individual, the more humanity will evolve. My vision is that as each individual can learn to progress and grow on an individual basis, that individual’s personal power and capabilities will be unlocked and they will be able to contribute to humanity within their zone of genius. And the only way for each individual to progress or develop is through intentional personal development. So, I have made it my life’s work to pull upon all the wisdom of humanity to provide tools, resources, and motivate, inspire, and encourage planet-wide personal growth and development. I see people overcoming individual psychological blocks, mastering principle-based behaviors and habits, and creating results currently unfathomed.
When we evolve individually through applying true, unbreakable principles of personal growth and improvement, we lift the world. If every man, woman, and child was taught and nurtured in personal development from a young age, humanity will have arrived at utopia. If every person can identify and overcome inherent inner psychological barriers to greatness, there will be love, tolerance, peace, progression, happiness, and fulfillment for all.
And I believe the secret to all that begins and ends with personal development.

In the future, the Star Trek creator believed, the human potential to be “remarkable” would yield a better, fairer world — “a world with no hunger, poverty, prejudice, or greed”.
