You can increase your happiness by increasing your tolerance for others.
If you adopt the principle of “Live and Let Live” by allowing others to direct their own lives you remove a lot of stress from your life. Sometimes we try to take control over people’s lives by commenting, critiquing, and choosing for them. However, it is always frustrating (and happiness draining) to pretend you control something that you don’t.
Furthermore, trying to control the lives of others is a massive distraction to actually mustering the courage to take the action you need to in your life.
You only have control over your own life. Live it.
