The Main Idea
Do you really need personal development? Are some people just successful without consciously improving themselves personally? Can I be successful and happy in life without giving any attention to personal development?
I think not. I believe the only way to grow your success is to grow you. Personal development may come naturally to successful people, but it needs to come.

What We Will Cover
So, let’s talk about what personal development is, how it is accomplished, why you should develop yourself personally, and then we’ll gauge what and were specifically personal development can help you.
Personal development is nothing more or less than being a better you. It’s about things like …
- getting better at developing people,
- being clear at what you want and what you don’t want out of life,
- knowing what you do and what you don’t do to add value to the world,
- getting things done and making progress, or
- getting over your emotional blocks and being really productive.
There are many ways to approach personal development. Some ideas of going about personal development could be…
- reading or listening to 10 minutes of a self-help, growth, or improvement book,
- taking a course that helps you to learn a skill to be a better person or better at what you do,
- attending motivational conferences, workshops, seminars, or other events regularly, or
- hiring a personal coach to walk you through the steps to being a better person.
Why develop myself?
You want to develop yourself personally. The benefits of personal development are…
- Unlocking personal power through responsibility management
- Detecting your special life’s purpose and calling – finding your gift in preparation to share it
- Achieving clarity of your unique vision of happiness
- Taking action, setting and unleashing goals, and establishing robust foundational priorities
- Protocols to get any plans moving forward achieving solid results on a daily basis
- Managing your mind, mindset, beliefs, and switching on your dormant confidence
- Escaping the bonds of fear, emotional blocks, unsupportive beliefs, and trapped trauma
- Strategies to synergize any relationship you have in your life
- Creating opportunities, solutions, and mutually beneficial arrangements with others
- Reinventing yourself, renewing your resolve, and reassessing your journey with strength
- Achieving physical and spiritual wellness through daily routines
- Managing and bridling the power of stress to move you not crush you
- And much much more…
Can I achieve without it?
For most people, it’s just a question of not wanting to put in any effort. Maybe you are unhappy with your life, but just don’t want to do something about it. Or maybe you don’t have faith or believe that spending time and effort on personal development would actually make you a happier person.
But the truth is that happiness and fulfillment come with intentional effort whether you do it consciously or not. You can’t achieve those things without making changes. Positive changes to who you are is by definition “personal development.” Remember, your goal is to live a happier, fuller life.
What about successful people?
So, does everyone who IS SUCCESSFUL do “personal development”? Unless they were born successful, yes they do whether it is intentional or natural. Most successful people read books, but not all. Most successful people surround themselves with supportive people, but not all. Most successful people get clear and focus on one purpose, but not all. Some of these people do it intentionally with the intention to improve, but not all.
However, whether you do personal development intentionally, naturally, consciously, or subconsciously, you DO NEED PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT.
You will find that without it, you, your business, your earning power, your relationships, and every single aspect of your life WILL BE STUCK on Groundhogs Day until you do take the time to develop.
